Cleo's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors

Been hanging out with conrad and michelle the whole day. Well last night michelle sms-ed and asked if i would want to join her at the mamak nearby. Knowing that my mum didn't like me going out at night, i initally hesitated on agreeing to go. But, well, i'm too good a friend to decline, so i went anyway. And when mic arrived abruptly to pick me up, i didn't have a chance to tell my mum that i'm going out. Told her on the phone though. Oh yea, we didn't spend much time there, as i sort of insisted on leaving at 10.30.

And today, the 3 of us hung around in klcc. Main purpose was to watch the Cleo's 50 Most Eligible Bachelors event. It was michelle who asked both of us to tag along. Desperate her :p We went there by lrt, and at the masjid jamek station both conrad and michelle went searching for the touch n go top up booth. Found a few, but those few were out of service.

Upon reaching klcc, conrad and mic both suggested having breakfast or a drink. Neither seemed appealling to me as i've pratically lost my appetite due to the diarrhoea i had few days ago. We went to the food court anyway, i bought a mineral water, michelle got a soft drink, and conrad ordered a pizza. There was once when conrad asked what the person on the other table was having, and i turned back, attempting to shoot surreptitious glances. But as i was doing so the guy actually stared back and i was shocked!

And when it was about 1 o'clock, we decided to head straight to the event to find a nice spot. Anyway, we found one, one floor above the stage, right in front of the runaway. The event was supposed to start at 1.30, but as expected they begun the thing much later. It was during this time when conrad kept complaining that some gals behind us were always hitting his 'precious' ass (i'm still wondering what's so precious about it) and as for my part, some malay gal comfortably leaned against me (what do think i am, the railing?). Well even at the higher floors, scores of people crowded to gawk at what's going on. Serena c and rashid salleh (which apparently is one of cleo's ex-bachelors) became the host for the event, and it started with dayang nurfaizah singing about 3 boring songs. Well actually the songs were ok, but we were just impatient and wanted to bachelors to come out quick, lol.

So, the show of the bachelors finally started and as they come out to introduce themselves, conrad couldn't stop making fun of those who came out simply too dorky or those that seem to be spouting gibberish on the microphone. Well some guys said nice one-liners but a few others simply did some slapstick jokes. They had games after that where a few girls were picked among the audience. Some of the games were damn funny, they had the bachelors eat marshmallows off the girls' backs, move balls (as in rubber toy balls) in between their bodies, dance (professionally) to the cha cha and do push ups to pick polystyrene alphabets with their mouths. Even the audience got to pose random questions to the bachelors. We thought of one to ask also, which was 'what would you do with 2 cucumbers, 3 dunkin donuts, and 4 cleo magazines?', but unfortunately never got a chance. Mic was desperate (again) as 10 wittiest question would win invites to the upcoming gala dinner.

The initial plan was to leave the place latest by 3.15pm as conrad has to attend church. We went to dunkin donuts, and immediately had to shoot off to the putra lrt station as we were already behind schedule. It was then when conrad called home, only to find out that there was certain change of plans. And so, off we walked back in to catch the remaining of the event. During certain intervals we were also found trying to obtain free passes into several other events. All 3 of us got some passes for the zouk bash which is on the 28th, whilst mic and i got extra passes for the tea party in aseana café which will be held after this event has ended.

And when the event has eventually ended and the crowd began to disperse, we got to capture pictures with a few of the celebrities (rashid salleh, serena c, and adam c) and also with few of the bachelors. Again, mic was desperately finding for kenji, one of the bachelors, hoping against hope that she's suddenly going to see him. We didn't see him until the tea party though, where mic finally got to take a picture with him. I didn't really enjoy the tea party, cuz apparently, several of the bachelors were smoking. Zero points for them. Anyway, we chit chatted abit with rashid salleh and kenji (well, he's got a friendly bone in his body) before we decided to leave.

We then had dinner in secret recipe, where we talked about our personal stuff (mainly mine, humph~) and again laughed our heads off - mainly at mic's blurness. Well, mic (the oscar winner of blurness) ordered a chocolate sundae and before her order came she couldn't resist going to Girls (as in the shop) to check out some stuff. So when her ice-cream finally came, conrad and i couldn't help but to first devour it. So we sabotaged her sundae, and when she came back, as expected, she didn't know that we actually ate some of hers already. lol... Conrad ordered mushroom grilled chicken with rice (was it? whatever it is) and a glass of hot chocolate. And according to him, rice is fattening, so he didn't bother finishing it. And for some reasons i helped ate the rice. Okay, i loved the gravy, that's why. Can't believe i ate conrad's saki baki. Well, nvm, he ate mine too. I had original chicken cornish, couldn't really finish it, and conrad help ate... the pastry part.

We got presents for tam's belated birthday before we headed home. And the journey back was funny too. When we were at the dang wangi station, mic went asking: 'did they say dumb wangi?', conrad clarified and said: 'no, it's dAng wangi', well somehow it sounded like 'dUng wangi', and in the end i pointed that they should better name it 'damn wangi'. And on the train back to btr, we were actually talking about the locomotives (or are they called carriages? or coaches?) detaching and of how to escape and save ourselves in such situations. Weird and odd as it may be, but we couldn't help giggling all the way.

All in all the day was great. To me it was okay, the bachelors are ok, but i REALLY hate it that they smoke; conrad was star struck (so am i); and michelle was all oVer kenji (who smokes too, yuck).

Yes, we took LOTS of pictures. I'll just post some here, and the rest i'll probably post randomly in my later posts. I don't like my entry crammed with pics :p
