Day 7 - Ready, Steady, SKI !!
hoho, wore 4 layers of clothing today, including thick thights, a sweater, an overcoat and the usual wind-breaker. dad woke me up really early today, bout 5.30 in the morning if i've not mistaken... scrambled egg for breakfast and we all went out at 7. this time, first destination was to huai bei skiing resort. well, went there along with another malaysian family, hehe. the whole journey took almost 2 hours. superb, the whole thing was great. the whole place was covered with ice and yet i was sweating when skiing? haha, rented skiing equipments including the boots, snow blades and also the ski poles. yup, through out the whole game, me and shawn didn't fall even once. haha, we were so proud we boasted to our parents, mom fell a few times. :-/ after it was all over (2 hours was the duration), we got up the cab and the driver brought us to tour around that area. it's quite rural/remote over there, unlike the city which is progressing pretty fast. we stopped at a few scenic spots, snapped some pictures at the entrance, and it was time for lunch. can't remember what's the restaurant's name, but i guess it serves sichuan food. yummy, best local food so far... we headed straight home after lunch, another 2 hours journey. dad paid the taxi driver right after we reached century towers (dad's apartment), rmb 750 altogether, including yesterday's whole day trip. dad says it was reasonable. =) moreover, he was friendly. we rested at home, i tried to take a nap but at last didn't, went online for a moment instead. went out again around 6 for dinner, planned to go to an indonesian cuisine earlier on, but got to know it's closed for renovation when we reached there. well, went to a wubei restaurant instead. there was some performance there, quite interesting. food was just average. walked over to the shopping mall after dinner, bought a few things, and came back here again.
