4 beringin

This reminds me of something. Back when we were in form 4, when wen chin and i were good friends, we used to draw this, yes, draw shit on each others' hands.

Now i'm reminded of my 4 Beringin days. It was the year when i first entered sbs and time started to take flight. Even when it was the last day of spm, it still felt as if i've entered the school the day before.

*speaking of spm, i still feel indignant that i've got a 3B for moral. that pointless subject, huh. but then again, maybe i shouldn't have watched the incredibles the night before the exam*

Most of the classes were boring, i think, that i sometimes find myself drawing pigs and cows over notes which i should be keeping. Wen chin and i used to scribble on our books even when the teacher was teaching.

Every free period was a joy blessedness. We even took the time between periods to enter the classes next door to play games like 'killers'.

Back then wen chin and conrad would occasionally come to my place right after school. And we would order pizza and have a lil feast here.

It was the year when we laughed among ourselves over lame jokes aka lawak bodohs.

And funny but true, we used to model/mould rubber sperms out of the eraser dusts residue.

It was when we laughed and imitated conrad's attempt to speak cantonese. It's still something i would occasionally ask him to repeat these days :)

It was when we 'envied' edward's mascaraed-looking eyelashes.

mascara ad

And called jeff uncle.

And imitate adrian's jocular laugh.

'Tambichin' - a weird unique term which wen chin came up with. It compromises of 3 names actually, which're tam, debbi, and wen chin.

And the year i first experienced having a period stain on my pinafore. Hated that. But strangely, i wasn't a tad bit frustrated over it :)

ichimaru gin is cute!

Can't think of a title to put. Anyway, ichimaru is a character in bleach (an anime if you don't know), the 3rd division captain, and he's a villain. But i think he's cute. Don't get me wrong, he's not my favourite character.

There. And his given description was: "The sly-faced, perpetually smiling Ichimaru seems to be almost totally amoral, willing to injure even his own comrades if it helps him get what he wants." lalala...

Last night loy yang went: "update your blog la"
And i replied: "well if you bring me go kai kai i'll update on it"
Then he suggested going to mid valley or timesquare this sunday.
So, we might be going out this weekend. Or maybe someday after my piano exam.

What is there to blog about. I tripped over the laptop on the floor last night when i was staggering to my bed and almost fell. No actually i wasn't even close to falling. And my first reaction was to curse the laptop and then wince in pain. uhh

The reason for me not blogging is that there's nothing to write about. I've been staying at home for the past few days (except to fetch my brothers, and to go for piano lessons), watching vcds and dvds pratically the whole day.

Ooh, remember when i said i didn't feel good since i got back from genting? I am still not feeling good. It has been much better lately though. Anyway i think i know why.

"Central nervous system side effects including light-headedness, dizziness, or vertigo (eh, u2's song wei...) have been reported with minocycline therapy."

No wonder. Googled a little, and Minocycline is apparently the antibiotic which i've been taking.

strapped for cash

I've been going out everyday recently. I think i'm seriously sleep-deprived. Have not been feeling good since i got back from genting.

Lets see...
last saturday (8/7) - movie with jonathan, justin and michelle. watched tokyo drift. the show was good, never expected it to be.
sunday (9/7) - stayed up until 5 to watch the world cup finals. and damn the italian who provoked zidane! :p
monday (10/7) - went out with jon to leisure mall
tuesday (11/7) - kota raya + sungei wang with jess
wednesday and thursday (12/7-13/7) - genting with the g10s
friday (14/7) - went to imu to collect my results, paid the 2nd sem fees, walked to vista A as min was going to pay the... deposit is it? then was off to mid valley. watched pirates of the carribean 2. oh, before i even got to imu i was stuck in this complete stand-still in front of a mosque. should've known it was the friday prayers. hmph. that really tested my patience. sides, i was already late.
saturday (15/7) - weather was bloody hot ok? which somehow made me grumpy. had to drive to piano, and after my lesson ended, drove back home to fetch my bro for his turn. got a haircut too.
sunday (today) - went to mid valley

And
monday (tommorow) - sunway pyramid with jess and pek yiong

McDonalds, movin' it. Hey jon, this was actually from the ice-cream you belanja-ed me the other day.

Genting Trip

Yeap, after so much of humming and hawing, jess and i finally decided to join the g10s for the genting trip. And it turned out pretty well too. There were 13 of us altogether, 8 gals (corny, diana, han ying, jess, jue jing, li ven, mei ann, and i) and 5 guys (kaarthig, kien yip, kunal, thuan tzen, and tony).

I'm bit lazy to reel off every detail about the trip. So, um... this email (edited the changes) basically sums it up:
There will be 1 room for guys, and 1 room for girls (8 girls,1 room? wow!) But seems like they dont care about comfortableness n prioritise fun, like we always do. haha.

Room is First World Hotel. Room rate = Rm 79, equally shared by all room occupants.

We will depart from KL Sentral on July 12th (wednesday) on a 2.30 pm bus. Bus service is on hourly basis from 8am till evening. All should meetup at KL sentral latest by 12pm. We are entitled to 2-4 free bus ride tikets. One way bus ticket is rm7.30. So the total price of bus fares will be equally divided among all.

We will check in the hotel as soon as we reach there and spend a night there having fun among ourselves. The next day, july 13th (thurs), we will go for the theme park rides. Theme park is open from 10am-6pm (if I'm not mistaken). Once we are done at the theme park, we will head back to KL Sentral with the night bus. The total theme park entrance fee plus the return bus ride fare is Rm31 per person.

Yes, we only had 2 rooms, obviously one for the guys and another for the gals. That's probably why the whole trip was dirt cheap too. So, there were 8 of us gals in a room with only 2 combined single beds. And yes, ALL of us slept on the bed.

This was almost exactly how we slept. Have to say it was a brilliant idea, although i didn't really sleep well that night.

Didn't do much on the first day, had pizza hut for dinner, and like we always do, we cam-hogged a lot. During the night all of us somewhat decided to go for clubbing. It was ladies night and the gals got in. And as for the guys, they decided to just remain in the hotel room to relish the chivas they bought. Few of them eventually got drunk, whereas the rest were left still sober.

Waiting in the hotel lobby. "Hello, yes mum, we've just arrived. Oh, yes... yess."

What disgusts me is the presence of smokers everywhere in genting. Despite the 'no smoking' signs plastered around the indoor themepark it appears that these smokers were not refrained from doing so.

The whole of thursday was spent in the themepark. Didn't expect that many people there. Most of them were... arabian tourists? Anyway, we went on several of the rides several times, kindda enjoyed some of them too. The last was the flume ride, which got some of us really drenched. And we were walking around in the cold in our damp clothes. Left the theme park about an hour earlier than it closes, cuz apparently most of the rides stopped operating due to the heavy mist. Since there was still ample time before our bus comes we decided to have this lil feast of junk foods in the garden.

Group picture. In the outdoor themepark.

With jessica and corny. The teacup ride. It was this ride which gave me the dizzy spell.

Corny, han ying, and i. Look at the mist!

Played some games before we got home, one of which is called 'ping-pang-wah'. Anyone who loses would be asked to put on a pose and have a picture captured of them. And for some sueh occurences, i kena-ed twice. Was fun though. Anyway, our bus left almost 8 sharp, and the journey back to kl sentral surprisingly took only less than an hour. Yup, genting was fun.

off to zzz after this

Feels: emotion darting around me like an unsettled fish. uh huh.

I've been wanting to change my blog skin. Surfed for them in the net, found a few nice ones, but they just seem too... artificial. Wish i had the skills to design one. And another thing was, i reformatted my pc, with the hope of turning off the internet firewall. I know we could turn it off under the connection settings, but that doesn't work for my pc. Anyway i turned it off after reformating it, and it had my internet explorer cacat-ed instead. So, had no choice, but to reformat it yet again, this time with the firewall turned on. Haiz.

It's friday, has been 3 days since my finals ended. Before that we had 2 weeks of study break, which seemed too long and draggy, just because i never utilise the time wisely. Anyway, time was spent at home either studying, sleeping, gorging on food, day dreaming, and not to mention i spent 3 (or 4?) of the days in the mms (medical museum). Wouldn't say that the mms was entirely beneficial, but it did help a lil in the ospe questions.

The brain stem. One of the many mms pics. We're lucky aren't we that we took these pics with apparent impunity :p

Typical look of my room during the study break. There's marieb and lipincotts under my bed, lil notes on papers scattered around, and yes, groundnuts, and pringles! yum. My room's really messy now, think i've got to prune away with a few things.

Anyway, the last paper was ospe, which goes like this: there're 20 stations altogether and the time allocated for each is 5 minutes. Whenever 5 minutes is up, the buzzer goes off and we'll have to move on to the next station. And every station will have either a model, a picture, or a chart with its accompanying questions to be answered. Oh and about this weird-sounding buzzer, just imagine when you're focusing so hard trying to figure out the answers, and out of the blue, in the amplified silence, the buzzer goes off. Well, i practically jumped on my own seat few times. Which would be pretty embarassing if someone had caught an eye of the action. After the paper was done, our group was quarantined until the next group entered the exam hall. Then, it was a >2 hours wait for them, no, for min to finish. And chitra, york xiong and i basically sat in the quarantine room even after everybody else left, talking all sorts of crap, from guys watching porn to the whatnots of becoming a doctor. We blah-ed until we decided to leave, york xiong and i went up to the exam hall expecting min to come out soon. But it was just another long wait. It was only after almost 2 hours after the exam ended that we finally left for mid valley. Due to unavoidable interruptions that is. lol. We didn't do much in mid valley. Had late lunch there, watched scary movie 4, hung out a little in coffee bean and finally decided to head back to uni. ooh, and my cravings for ice-blended coffee is still here.

And an interesting note was, when we were at the ktm station min spotted this man begging for money on the pavement. So the question popped out, do we actually believe in giving to these people? Apparently it appears the same for all of our (yx's, min's and my) parents. Our fathers give, but our mums would scold our dads for giving. Lol. Personally, i think i'll give, depending on the situation too. Maybe some of these people driven to beg on the streets truly deserve our compassion and assistance. But i'm sure there are however able-bodied-malingerers who prefer begging to working and live off the milk of human kindness. Anyway, i think very little can be done cuz i don't think there's any legal provision to act agaisnt such rogues?

As for yesterday, jess and i hung out in mid valley. Well, the initial plan was to go to 1u, but that didn't turn out right. It appears that our combined sense of direction led us being lost in ampang, which was when we decided mid valley instead. Well, minus my sense of direction actually, cuz i've not a single clue of how to get there. Should really learn someday. We had nandos for lunch, and the rest of the time was spent walking around the mall until it was time for me to get home.

Oh yeah, hope this holiday wouldn't turn out to be boring. I know at one point it eventually will, just like any other holidays. What i have here are my korean dramas, lots of story books, and i'm currently downloading desperate housewives and grey's anatomy. And i can't wait for the upcoming plans of lepak-ing.

Plans for the 'very' near future:
saturday - movie with jon, jus and mic
monday tuesday - kota raya + sungei wang with jess
wednesday and thursday - genting with the g10s
thursday - dota? (huhu, cannot lor loys lol)

Not to mention:
31st july - piano exam in prince hotel. i forsee countless extra piano lessons until then too.
... and most importantly
28th july - my birthday. hahaha. ok ok better cut that off.

Electives:
8th august until 15th? - taman negara.

By the way:
19th august - dad's coming home for 1 week.
